SUPERVISION RECEIVED

General assignment will originate from the Headmaster with the highest degree of latitude for individual creativity, judgment and decisions.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

The teacher is responsible to see that each student is engaged in an appropriate, one-to-one, small group, large group or independent activity. The teacher shall insure that space, time, materials and equipment are used effectively. The teacher shall supervise such persons as assigned to the school to assist learning process; i.e., teacher aides, support personnel, volunteers, adults and student teachers.

To lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional and psychological growth and assist in student's maturation as mature, able, sensitive and responsible adults, possessing consistently high self standards. These reflect the school's educational philosophy and goals.

PROFESSIONAL ASSESSMENT

Performance will be evaluated annually by the Headmaster in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Faculty Handbook and school Board policy. The school administration and faculty will establish suggested criteria on the evaluation of professional personnel for Board approval. The effectiveness of realizing personal objectives and curricular objectives will be a major part of the evaluation.

	Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, appropriate to the maturity and interests of students and provides for alternatives to learning styles.
	Organizes plans and implements a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students. Special attention directed towards involvement in the upper levels of the cognitive and affective domains of learning and where applicable, psychomotor development.
	Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals; and in harmony with the students and community's goals; establishes clear objectives for all objectives to students and parents.
